Betty Minsk moved to Atlanta in 1962 and began her teaching career in DeKalb County. She then went on to work at the Jewish Community Center, and finally at GHA.
During the 20 years she was at GHA, Betty taught preschool, became Early Childhood Director, and started the Jewish family activities. She was the creator of the 1st Grade ShofarProject, as well as Mitzvah Day. After leaving GHA, Betty initiated Kosher Day at Turner Field to raise money for all of the Jewish Day Schools. She also served on the Weinstein Hospice Board, Federation Committees, Torah Day School Board, and currently helps to raise funds for AJA’s Capital Campaign.
